Yesterday I spent probably half the day sitting in the bookstore agonizing over which new art book I would buy. I did end up buying one, quite expensive (for me) and quite good. I think that was okay, but looking at the video below and others, I wonder. How can I lavish luxuries on myself when my brothers and sisters are in such distress and need?

It brought me tears of joy, as well as a stab of regret that I had no part in making it happen. I could have sent the $30 I spent on that book, couldn’t I? But I spent it on myself. But I do have more, which I can send.
