For a tip-off on what I’m doing here, please check my post on prophecy and lectio divina. Here is an excerpt from the word I believe God gave me while meditating on 1 Thessalonians 1:2 “We always thank God for all of you, remembering you constantly in our prayers.”
“This (thanking God for loved ones and praying for them) is not difficult to do when you truly love. In order to love, you must know. I must empower you, for I am all love. Without Me, there is no love. Love flows from Me, and though it is polluted in many ways, its source is in Me. You drink from the pure stream when you love through Me.
“Relationships must relate through Me in order to be pure and pleasant and perfect. Direct relationships between humans are always broken. I am the hub. If you move outside of Me, the enemy will see your vulnerability and twist and pervert your relationships. In Me, you always have absolute protection. Outside of Me, you will have dependencies, abuse, self-serving. People will do these things to you if they are outside Me, but you will not do them so long as you keep yourself in Me.
“Praying constantly comes naturally in the course of spending each day with Me. As we walk, we will talk, just as you and your daughter do. I will talk to you; you will talk to Me. That is prayer. This (daily quiet time) is a special, concentrated time, but when we are together, all times are sweet.
“Prayer on behalf of others is a natural outgrowth of love and trust. We discuss them and their needs because we love them. You come to Me because you know Me and you trust that I will hear you and grant, in the best way, your prayers for our loved ones.”
God is good. When He speaks to me during my quiet time, often it is specific to the things He knows I need to hear. He’ll be delighted to spend time with you in the same way and will give you such wonderful insights especially for you. Spend some time with Him today–you’ll not regret it.
Grace and peace, Cindy
