Light for this Generation

River of Light

In our ekklesia, we’ve been talking about how Jesus healed the man born blind (as recorded in the gospel of John.) As an aside I found interesting, a friend told me that in the Jewish Talmud (that’s a collection of the teachings of the Jewish elders), it was said that one of the signs of the true Messiah would be that he would heal a man born blind. Is that amazing, or what?

I have one last post to share regarding this sign, dated 5-15-10. Yes, it’s been sitting in my journal a while . . . anyway, here’s what I heard in my heart when I asked the Lord about this sign one more time:

In My word is light, life, clarity. You need no longer doubt, for I lead you by My words to you, by the light that I have hidden in My word. No, not every seeker may find it, but you, My children, who seek truth in humility, for love’s sake, may come in. It is not accessible to every reader, but only to the hungry. It is that bread for the eater that I supply therein, not that you should display it in a showcase, but that you, earnestly desiring light, should feast on it, savoring it and with it, satisfying your soul. You do not walk alone, but with everyone who seeks My face throughout time. Together, you have become one with Me. Your saints shall know that which was known before, by saints of old, so that you all may be made one in us, in blessings in in the fellowship of suffering.

My will is this — that you in Us should become one body, one house, one people, one bride.

How do we do that, Lord? I asked.

Pray for one another. Support and uplift one another. Let your brothers and sisters support you, and in the same manner, support them. Strive, endeavor to be of one mind and one Spirit — that is the Spirit of Christ. As I anointed My Son to be light to His generation, so I anoint you all, in Him, to be light to this present generation. And darkness, blindness, is increasing as confusion rises with the tide of rebellion, desperation, and deceit. Nothing can redeem this (or any other) generation but My Son — My Son in you all, because for such a time as this I have placed you here.

You are not in any way superior to previous generations, however you are specifically prepared for the work I shall give you. See to it that you do not waste time comparing yourselves to others. Yes, there are patterns, but all times are different, and I prepare you for your own time.

See to it then that you walk in the present moment — not in the past nor in the near or distant future. Trust Me one day at a time and I will give you rest.

  1. This is good insight. I love when Esther was told that she was where she was “for such a time as this.” While these words were specific to her, it does give me comfort to know that God has a plan and purpose for my life and it is taking place right now. And the decisions I make today matter in eternity, because I too am here “for such a time as this.”

BTW… The new site looks great. I have saved the new feed.

    • Thanks, Larry! God is always amazing. I’m not, and none of us are, but Christ in us is sufficient for everything. And thanks for hooking me up to the 31DBBB feed, too. :)

    Hello Cindy
Another very encouraging word of truth from our Father, how good God is and his love for us is so great!!! “Trust me one day at a time and I’ll give you rest”,just like our Father always encouraging us to lean totally on him and then we will enjoy his “rest”.
    Love you Cindy :D

    • That’s the secret, isn’t it Pat? Leaning on Him. When we try to do anything in our own strength, we get stressed out and cranky. At least I do. In Him we can do all things and still stay in His rest. (Now if I can just DO that!) ;) I’m so glad you found your way over, and that you were able to comment this time!

      I love you, too, Pat

      Blessings, Cindy

  3. “Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun.” (Ecclesiastes 11:7)
“The true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.” (John 1:9)
“So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.” (Romans 13:12)
Hey Cindy, nice webiste :) Isn’t interesting that light is not a weapon but armor. Before we even begin to think about weapons, we put on our armor. We wrap ourselves in light. Unless we are walking in the light there is not much point in taking up the weapons of our warfare. Its only by walking in the light, as He is in the light that we are even engaged in the unseen battle. ………..brother Frank

  4. How cool, Frank! I never saw that — or never noticed it, anyway. The armor of light. I never thought of light as either weapon or armor, but how wonderful to think of it as armor. I will certainly be contemplating that. And thanks for finding your way over here. :)

    Blessings, Cindy
