When I sat down for my quiet time, I had a question already in my mind, but Abba refused to talk about it. I couldn’t get anywhere outside my own head, and I was feeling frustrated. And then of course I realized . . . I asked Him, “You didn’t want to talk about this, did You?”
No, I didn’t. We were talking about the gospel. I have things to tell you. What the gospel is, is peace — peace with God — peace between us (that is, between us and God). The good news is that I sent My Son to make peace with you; to reconcile you to Myself. You no longer need to hide yourselves from Me. You do not and cannot become righteous by laws and forms. No, My way is both simpler, and far grander than all of that.
You see, I didn’t want a family of unworthy ones to share My house and My table with me. Rather you have been made worthy, and you have been called back to Me — to your Father’s embrace — by the efforts and ministrations of the Firstborn Son toward you. Because you turn from this world and die to this present administration, you no longer have to drag around the flawed worldview that herds you down the road to further destruction.
The good news is that the way to the Tree of Life is no longer barred by death, for death itself can no longer prevent those who would partake of its fruit. In fact, death is the WAY to the Tree of Life, for having partaken of the wrong tree, you have taken in its “life” and must live by that life until you die.
But the Tree of Life is no longer barred to those who have died, and you, in Christ Jesus, have died, been buried, and also raised out of death — in Him. He also is the Tree of Life, who offers His flesh for the life of the world. Whoever partakes of Him has life, for life is in Him.
But to have the life, you must partake of the Son — the Tree of Life. There is life in no other, and by no other name can you be saved. Do you indeed know that there is no other name given in heaven or on earth whereby people may be saved? Believing, you have life in His name.
He who does not have the Son does not have the life, but is dead while he lives; but the one who partakes of the Son has life everlasting and does not come to death, but only light and more light, as he approaches the final day. For the light and the life are one, and they are in the Son. This is the gospel — that He is the new Kingdom and the new King.
- The King heals
- The King provides
- The King feeds His sheep
- The King has life in Himself
- The King gives life to His people
The King comes from among the dead ones, but because of His manifest purity and power, He is not corrupted by the death, but rather purifies, sanctifies, enlivens death itself and so destroys it, by bringing life from it, and so turning it inside-out and even redeeming, reversing death. Chaos becomes life, and life becomes everlasting.
Nothing else bears mention, as this is the ultimate victory that encompasses all and eclipses all else. Life from death; from chaos, complexity and infinite organization so intricate that the patterns become almost random. Yet chaos is death, while this dance of order is life. Beauty comes literally from ashes, and from mourning, joy is distilled. The garment of praise is birthed from the spirit of heaviness, and you shall all be made glorious.
This is the gospel.
As always, please listen to the Spirit and the scriptures for yourselves, and decide whether you think this is from God in part or as a whole, and feel free to share your thoughts and your judgments. 🙂
Love in Him, Cindy
