Come to Me

Come to Me when you’re weary.
Come to Me when you’re lonely.
Come to me;I will always be with you;
Right here at your side.

Come to Me when you wander
Come to Me when your lost and lonely, Child.
I will take your hand in Mine.
I will be your guide.

I will take each step with you.
I’ll show you which ways are true
Sink your roots down deep into
My living streams.

Come to Me when you need to
Know the way; when you don’t know
What to do. I will light the way for you
In paths you never knew.

Ways that from antiquity
I have made My people see.
Ways you cannot find unless
I lead you through.

Walk with Me every day and
Every hour. I will bring your
Faith to flower. Fruit will flow from
Every branch; tender, sweet and true.

I will bring you through this life
to your journey’s joyous end.
And together you will walk
the Promised Land.

Trust Me, Child. Let me take you
In My arms. I will keep you
Safe from harm. Safely through the
Tempter’s maze, I will guide you home.

    Hi sister Cindy,

I don’t have much time, but I just want to say that I am encouraged by what is happening with Christians like you in North America. With your obvious seeking of the Lord, I sense that you have been nourished by the ministry of some faithful ones who have gone before us. Do any of these happen to be Watchman Nee or Witness Lee? I ask because I myself have been nourished by their writings, which have really opened up the truth in the Word to me. I used to meet with a group of believers in Winnipeg, Manitoba who enjoy their writings as well. You may have heard of the “local churches”, who meet on the ground of locality (ie. the church in Winnipeg), and who desire all believers to be one practically as well as in the reality of the Spirit, which is an accomplished fact. I have go now, but I would love to hear a response from you. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit!

    Your brother in Christ,
    Randy

  2. Thanks so much, Brother!

What an encouragement to hear from you. :) Yes, I’ve read (and am re-reading) “The Normal Christian Life.” Have a collection of Nee’s other works on my computer, but I haven’t made it to them yet. Reading on the computer always seems like such a chore.

I haven’t heard of the “local churches,” but they sound interesting. We meet with a group here in Rapid City. Tomorrow it’s here at our house, so that will be nice. I guess if you were to give us a label, it would be “organic” in the style of Frank Viola & Milt Rodriguez.

    Thanks again for your encouragement!

    Blessings, Cindy
